SUSIE WILLIAMS PRODUCTIONS works with contemporary circus artists to facilitate the creation and presentation of their visions. Whatever the scope of the project, SWP’s aim is always the same: to bring high-level, compelling contemporary circus work out of an artist’s mind and into the world.

Two Artists. Two Shows. One evening of contemporary circus.
Presented at the Streb Lab for Action Mechanics (SLAM)

Created and Performed by Uys du Buisson
A lone wanderer trudges across the ruinous sprawl of a gutted metropolis with nothing but a shopping cart to contain the remnants of a bygone world. Through antic rituals of physical endurance and madcap artistry he endeavors to piece together the scraps of a fractured reality to find refuge in a new imagined world that is uniquely his own.

Created and performed by Lisa Natoli
Lisa’s Bright Ideas strips down rope and lyra – exploring measure and value in discordant harmony, challenging the viewer to renegotiate their expectations.

Formerly an aerialist with Cirque du Soleil’s LOVE, Kristin Geneve Young presented her first full-length aerial quartet. This unique production invited audiences to experience ordinary people existing within an extraordinary context. Featuring performers: Joshua Dean, Lisa Natoli, Susie Williams and Kristin Geneve Young. Costumes by Eric Gorsuch. Atmosphere by Grady Barker.  Producers Susie Williams and Kristin Geneve Young.

Co-created by Lisa Natoli and Susie Williams, Bright Ideas’ Aerial Salons are semi-regularly presented aerial shows. Each Salon is entirely different – they may take the form of a variety show, a long-form piece or a work-in-progress. The Aerial Salons present work for no other purpose than for art’s sake. It is our way of staying in intimate conversation with the audience and with our craft. Performers have included: Andrew T. Foster, Anya Sapozhnikova, Cody Schreger, Elizabeth Munn, Gretchen Sampsen, Hilary Sweeney, Kristin Geneve Young, Laura Sheehy, Melissa Canella and Nicki Miller.
